Islamabad: Federal Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed on Monday has said the government is initiating projects for the welfare of Railways employees.
Talking to media after inaugurating operation theatre at Railways hospital in Rawalpindi, Rashid said more projects in the health and education sectors are under consideration to facilitate the employees of the department.
The minister said that the locomotives will be run with latest technology, adding that foreign entrepreneurs will be given incentives to invest in Railways for increasing its revenue.
Sheikh Rashid also lashed out at former President Asif Ali Zardari, saying that he starts wearing turban when there is a chance of going to jail.
He also eyed 2019 as a year of PM Imran’s success.
Earlier, Sheikh Rashid had alleged former Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif and Asif Ali Zardari of looting the nation. He said that now, people will decide between ‘thief’ and ‘guardian’.
Innovations are being introduced to make Pakistan Railways a profitable institution, he added.
